Great show. ON VICK: Think everyone deserves a second chance including Vick. They should suspend him for at least 1 season, once he is released from prison then give him another shot. Then if he gets so much as a speeding ticket he should get the lifetime ban!!!!!

For the bigtime NFL fan, the Vick story is a constant annoyance, but they won't stop watching the NFL, but for the casual fan who may stay away, it can mean big problems for the NFL and its TV ratings. There is a relatively small number of women who watch, but when talking about the total number of NFL viewers, it is still a huge number, and many women will be turned off by Dog cruelty. LEts hope he pleas out, and ends this today. Lets also hope that no more players are added to this situation as well. I am of the opinion that Vick will never play in the NFL again.

As for Kevin Jones. Mike Martz is optimistic he will play in Game 1 at Oakland, which is a huge swing away from the week 9 or 12 that has been discussed lateley. Who knows which is true, probably something in between, KJ should be a good reserve back for the 2nd half of the fantasy season.

Well stated Walter...
LJ will be back, I have no doubt. But he carried a huge load last year. And who is on his Offensive Line? Don't get me wrong, he is still a great RB, but he won't be nearly as successful this season as he was in 06. Mid first round is where I see him this year.

I think Tim Couch is a very lucky "son of a gun", because he wasn't doing what he wanted to do in his life. He wanted to play the best sport in the WORLD! I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, so I like that Couch, and Northcutt are playing football with each other again.

ok y'all first off let me say by living in kc theres no way the chiefs move they are way to stable here, and while i do believe that lj isnt worth lt money he does desere a raise but i also believe that he signed a contract and should live up to it, but knowing thats not how sports work he definitely deserves a raise, no way does carl peterson trade LJ, and just for the record the best player ever to don a chiefs uniform is not LJ it is a guy by the nane of Derrick Thomas maybe you heard of him??

Hey Guys, nice show! Good to hear you together again,
although I miss the garage days and the crickets! I was out of Fantasy Football last year, and I can't wait to get back in this season. I'd really like to join a keeper or dynasty league if anyone out there has one with openings or starting one, let me know, $50-$100 is ok for the right league. KevQ@mac.com

Yo, what about Carolina? Julius Peppers and Simeon Rice would be a potent pass rushing force. I know if I were Simeon I would take less money to stay in the NFC South with a chance to play the Bucs twice a season!

I feel Robert Mathis is as good if not better than Rice at this point in their careers. I'm betting Rice heads to TN as a pass rush specialist. Otherwise I agree with Det. and would add Den and GB to the list. Buff KC(Edwards) and of course Was could also be heavily in the mix. If Strahan does bail then the Giants become an option.

I gotta take Marks side on this. This was Vicks first real charge. Lets see who Goodell has suspended. Pac - 14 run ins. Henry - 10 run ins. Tank - released from jail, but allowed to play in the SB last year. So I gotta say Goodell lets this run its course. Lets look at the NFL's public image (as Walter says thats what its all about) Which looks worse. The NFL suspends Vick and hes cleared of all charges. Or The NFL lets it play out and suspends him after some of the charges are proven (altho if Vick's in jail it wont matter, but a Bann could be imposed based on the gambling alone, I believe)

I think the first case looks worse on the NFL, best case scenerio Aurther Blank suspends Vick with pay til this is played out. I think that would be in Atlanta's best interest. Cause the Media and protest is gonna be unreal if Vick is at Practice or games, and I believe that would hurt the team more than Vicks play would help.

Hey Walter, Since Banks always looked stoned, and thats bad on the NFL's image, should he be suspended in todays NFL?

Tennessee has no reason to bring him in. Backup Kerry Collins has started 148 NFL games, and Tim Rattay has started 18. The Titans' QB trio is as strong as any in the entire league... good developing talent/experienced backup arms combo.

But I don't understand why the Bears are so content with Grossman, Griese and Orton. What would they have to lose by bringing in Culpepper for a modest salary to compete? We know Culpepper's talented, and at 30, he could have at least four good seasons left in him. He'd also be cheap, and he'd have a chip on his shoulder.
I could see him having mid-career renaissance a la Randall Cunningham with the Vikings in the late '90s. And if he'd agree to a modest one-year deal, the potential reward would be much greater than the potential risk.

I'm currently 2 blocks from where the Marlins play, so its in my mind (remember after wining it all, they slashed the team for selling). I wonder if KC would move? Maybe Minn is a better team to move, they have lost as many super bowls as Buffalo. HMMMM

The NFL still wants a team in LA so maybe your baseball assessment isnt that far off. (I thought thats what Minnesota was doing myself)
