If there was ever a time to give up the ghost, for Daunte Culpepper, that time is now. For the second time, his grievance hearing was delayed. Now time is of the essence. Culpepper could make or break the rest of his career by how he handles this situation.

Just one day after a attendance record of 48,125 the NFL calls a cease fire in NFL Europa operations. NFL officials called the decision “a sound business move that will allow for a stronger international focus on regular-season games outside the United States.”

Miami defensive Tackle Fred Evans was waived by the Dolphins after a scuffle with Police. The 300 pound defensive tackle had a disagreement with a cab driver and refused to get out of the cab. After refusing orders by police to get out of the vehicle he began to fight the officers who had to use tasers to remove him.

Tank Johnson is waived by the Chicago Bears. It appears that the Bears will pay every defensive player under sun except Lance Briggs. Dolphins defensive tackle Fred Evans may find himself before Roger Goodell after his scuffle with police. Adam Jones is finding that what happens in Vegas won’t necessarily stay in Vegas. Three days after his last arrest, the Chicago Bears decided to part company with defensive tackle Tank Johnson. Johnson, appeared in 46 games, starting 15 of them since being drafted in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. The move signaled the first player to be kicked off of his team for violating the new League personal conduct policy.

There is no question that Johnson is the keystone of the KC offense. Johnson has become so recognizable as the Chiefs’ main weapon that when my friend and I were having a quarterback conversation, it deteriorated into little more than degrees of heaviness of Larry Johnson’s rushing load with each option at the helm.
