Every year more and more scrutiny goes into the evaluation of talent for the draft. Every year someone always asks me, “Why did so-and-so drop down on draft boards?”, or “Why didn’t he get drafted? He had such a great college career.”
The second wave of free agency has arrived and is much more talent rich than many thought it would be. Teams are in full smoke and mirrors mode for the 2007 NFL Draft with the Bucs talking quarterback. And the League’s personal conduct policy talk is still abuzz with Bengals WR Chris Henry once again making the Police Blotter.

In an award acceptance appearance at the conservative Indiana Family Institute, Indianapolis head coach Tony Dungy stated that he “embraced the stance” being taken by the group, complimenting their efforts to amend the Indiana constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman. The comment by the Super Bowl champion coach is drawing both praise and ire from sports fans, religious and political groups across the nation. The coach was careful to state that his comments should not be construed as gay-bashing but rather an attempt to “to promote the family - family values the Lord’s way.” Coach Dungy is well known as being deeply religious.
